Haujobb was formed in 1993 by Daniel Myer, Dejan Samardzic, and Björn Junemann, pulling the name from the Blade Runner translation of “skin job”. They were soon signed to Off Beat, and began distributing their music in North America via Pendragon Records. 1995 saw the departure of band mate Björn, and the lineup has consisted of Daniel and Dejan ever since. After Metropolis Records acquired Pendragon, the two musicians have been able to spread their music to a larger fanbase in North America, and have remained continuously popular in the European industrial music scene.

Over the course of their subsequent releases in the 1990s, they wove increasing amounts of drum ‘n’ bass and IDM influence into their sound. 1999′s ‘NinetyNine’ was a sparse, downtempo collection of ambient electronic compositions. They have since reintroduced some of the more rhythmic elements back into their sound on their more recent albums, but have continued to experiment, drawing concepts from a wide variety of musical styles.

Today, both Daniel Myer and Dejan Samardzic continue to record music under the name Haujobb – the duo also briefly recorded as Dots+Dashes. Myer has several other projects of his own, including Architect, Clear Vision (initially a collaboration with Thorsten Meier) as well as a number of other short-lived electronic projects. Myer, along with Claire Voyant’s Victoria Lloyd, form HMB, whilst Newt is a collaboration with Andreas Meyer of Forma Tadre. The most recent of Myer’s side-projects is Destroid, also featuring Rinaldo Ribi Bite and Sebastian Ullmann.

After dominating clubs in his late teens with the pre rave hard beat of Front Line Assembly, producer Rhys Fulber and Front Line partner Bill Leeb settled into the more soothing ambient pop of Delerium.  While quietly becoming a staple of both new age and club charts, the duo yielded the global hit and oft remixed club anthem “Silence” (featuring the incomparable Sarah MacLachlan on vocals…) Feeling the need to take this sound deeper, he forged out on his own and created the Conjure One project.  The epic eponymous debut album featured future classics like the Sinead O”Connor voiced Tears From The Moon and chill out favorites Sleep and Center of The Sun. Fast forward two albums later, Fulber has taken the Conjure One sound to Armada Music for a revitalized approach, fusing his signature world and ambient pop stylings with current dance elements. All whilst retaining a busy and extremely varied production schedule.


LEÆTHER STRIP

According to founder Claus Larsen, Leæther Strip is, and always will be, only him. Larsen was born on November 13, 1967 in Aalborg, Denmark. He first released music under the name of Leæther Strip in 1989. However, his 1995 release G.A.W.M.U.S. (Getting Away With Murder U. S.) included two early demos from 1982 and 1984, with the latter forming the unknown beginning of the band according to an interview conducted with Claus Larsen. In 1991, Larsen created a side-project called Klute in which he also remained the sole member.

Leæther Strip remained silent for several years after the release of the single Carry Me in 2000 and the official band website, which once contained a wealth of information regarding the project, was taken offline. In foreshadowing the return of his band, Larsen’s remix of the band KiEw’s song Graograman on the Diskette EP (2003) states at the beginning of the song, in a sing-song computer-generated voice, “Leæther Strip will return for more electronic mayhem”. In an interview conducted late 2005, Larsen revealed that label issues, as well as personal concerns, caused the dormancy of the band during the 2000 – 2005 period.

October 28, 2005, marked the official return of Leæther Strip with the EP release Suicide Bombers on the Alfa Matrix label. Claus Larsen opened a blog to inform fans of his current activities and progress on the project. A string of releases followed including the 2-CD album After the Devastation, and the 2006 EP releases Walking on Volcanos and Fætish. Also in 2006, Claus Larsen released a free song via his MySpace page, a remix of Frank Tovey taught me things. The song was subsequently downloaded over 10,000 times.

Larsen’s lyrics for Leaether Strip are often frank and direct, sometimes to the point of being hostile. Political songs include the anti-Nazi song “AEighty AEight” which contains the chorus “You are not human / You are not soldiers” as well as the song “Suicide Bombers” (On the Suicide Bombers EP) with its chorus question, “Who told you to die that way?” More frequently, Larsen explores his own personal issues in the same open fashion, resulting in many tracks that are simultaneously aggressive and introspective.


VELVET ACID CHRIST

Velvet Acid Christ (VAC) is an electro-industrial band based in Denver, Colorado. The band was formed in 1990 by lead vocalist, musician, and producer Bryan Erickson, and later featured various ex-members of Toxic Coma.

With their origins rooting back all the way to their high school electronics class, Velvet Acid Christ got their start in 1990 under the original “Cyberchrist,” but changed it in dedication to an alleged acid trip gone bad. Comprising two core members Bryan (Erickson) and Krztov, Velvet Acid Christ represent the grimmer aspect of social issues that surround their environment, to the soundtrack of darkened industrial metal. With topics that include animal rights, the environment and the technological advances overwhelming mankind, Velvet Acid Christ are a warning signal that’s been going off since the debut of their self-titled 1994 full-length. Following a deal with Pendragon Records not too long afterwards, the label eventually released a compilation of all their demo and single tracks entitled Neuralblastoma and their follow-up, 1997′s Calling Ov the Dead. With Velvet Acid Christ’s next move to Metropolis Records in 1998, their Fun with Drugs EP was released the next year followed by their third album Fun with Knives and then the Fun with Razors EP. Twisted Thought Generator was issued in fall 2000.

The project gained limited popularity in Europe’s underground nightclub scene during the mid-1990s with the compilation Church of Acid (1996) before expanding into other markets in the goth and industrial subcultures. The band’s discography includes 11 albums, the latest being Maldire (2012) and Subconscious Landscapes (2014).


BRUDERSCHAFT

Bruderschaft is an electronic music artist’s collective led by New York City-based DJ Rexx Arkana. Conceived as a charity project focused on cancer research and treatment in the wake of Arkana’s father’s death from the disease, Bruderschaft brought together a large number of artists from the underground electronic music scene for the production of the band’s first single, “Forever”: the collaboration of Arkana (lyrics), Ronan Harris (VNV Nation-vocals), Sebastian Komor (Icon of Coil-programming/production), Joakim Montelius (Covenant-samples/loops) and Stephan Groth (Apoptygma Berzerk-backing vocals).

Released by RazorBurn Records, in European partnership with Alfa-Matrix in 2003, the “Forever” EP (also available in a 2-Disc Limited Edition) featured a large list of remixers, including Front 242, Camouflage, Feindflug, Melotron, The Retrosic, Negative Format, Angels & Agony, Colony 5, Lights of Euphoria, Davantage, Grendel, Punto Omega, [:SITD:]. In keeping with the founding concept behind the project, all net profits from the global sales of the CD were augmented by the proceeds of local release parties in cities around the world, raising nearly $50,000 for charity.

In 2005, Bruderschaft began working on “Return”, the band’s second release which has yet to be released. On the title track, the second incarnation of the group was to feature the programming talents of returning contributor Sebastian Komor, newcomer Johann Sebastian (State of the Union-composer); new vocalist Tom Shear (Assemblage 23); and lyricist Rexx Arkana (FGFC820). A second new original from the band, “Trigger,” features music written by Arkana and “Forever” remixer/FGFC820 member Dräcos and System Syn founder/vocalist Clint Carney. On January 21, 2009, it was revealed that the song would be released as part of an EP.


THE DREAMING

The Dreaming is a reunion of Stabbing Westward’s founding members, Christopher Hall (lead singer) and Walter Flakus (keyboards, programming). This renowned songwriting team is behind most of Stabbing Westward’s radio hits and are accompanied by one-time Stabbing Westward drummer Johnny Haro, Deadsy/Orgy guitarist Carlton Bost, and KUZA bassist Franccesca De Struct.

Formed in Los Angeles, The Dreaming deliver a passionate and truly unique mix of new wave, metal, electronic and darkwave. Their previous albums include “Etched in Blood” (2008) and “Puppet” (2011). Although the name Stabbing Westward is now dead and buried, the founders of the band are continuing with the intense and haunting music that made Stabbing Westward a multi-platinum band.

The Dreaming’s third album “Rise Again” is available worldwide on Metropolis Records.


TACTICAL SEKT

Tactical Sekt is an elektro-industrial act consisting of Anthony Mather (USA – Vocals, Keyboards, Programming), Robert Schott (Live Synths,Visuals) and Jay Taylor (UK – Live Drums). They are known for their powerful, noisy, dark electronic sound. Tactical Sekt was conceived in the mind of Anthony Mather in about 2002/2003. Mather previously had experience with elektro-industrial music in his former band, Aslan Faction.

After some time, Aslan Faction stopped performing live and making new music, which persuaded Anthony Mather to devote himself totally to Tactical Sekt. The album “Geneticide” was soon put out and it featured, as Ant said in one interview: “…mostly songs that didn’t fit into Aslan Faction music profile…”. Soon after “Geneticide” in 2003, “Burn Process” was released. The music and the atmosphere was much more euro-trance alike, emphasizing that Aslan Faction days were over.

In spring 2006, a new album was coming out – “Syncope.” It featured 13 tracks, and besides the regular album, a limited edition was published which featured never released tracks, mostly from the “Geneticide” period.


WILLIAM CONTROL

Producer, writer, engineer, front-man, and rising icon of the majestic fusion of electronic darkwave, industrial goth, new wave punk, and glam rock William Control is a man of many personas and masks.

As lead vocalist for Seattle-based rockers Aiden, William has never been a shy character. The charismatic vocalist’s performance evokes such punk and glam legends as Iggy Pop, David Bowie, and Ian Curtis, while creating a new standard in onstage performance excellence. Over the last decade, Aiden has released 6 full length albums, 2 EPs, a Live Album, and toured throughout the world.

As a producer, WILLIAM CONTROL melds together a dark, industrial substratum with strains of new wave sensibility reminiscent of New Order, Bauhaus, Gary Numan, and Depeche Mode. Within his solo effort, William has released 3 full-length albums, “Hate Culture”, in 2008, followed by “Noir” in 2010, and “Silentium Amoris” in 2012, with a fourth album, “The Neuromancer”, scheduled to release 4/4/2014, as well as 2 EPs, “Novus Ordo Seclorum” in 2011 and “Skeleton Strings” in 2013, and a live album, “Live in London Town” in 2012. His darkly fanciful sounds have lent themselves to horror, with soundtrack contributions on Saw V, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009), and Underworld: Awakening (2012).

A man speaking from many perspectives, but all which coalesce in a collective sense of suppressed identity and desires, William Control uses the discordant voices in his head to consummate his varied and seemingly divergent conclusions into a celebratory affirmation of lives and passions living outside of mainstream acceptance. Whether with his voice, his musical styling, or words, he demands validation and recognition for a subculture all but denied existence, and in doing has built a cult-like following of devotees from around the world.

Formed in 2004, FGFC820 is the harsh EBM project from well-known and respected New York City DJs, Rexx Arkana and Dräcos. Drawing on joint and separate influences ranging from old school industrial to modern gabber, Arkana and Dräcos combine to create a sound that is at once melodic and relentlessly rhythmic, “bringing the ‘thump’ back to EBM”, as one reviewer recently put it.

In addition to his 20 years of experience as both a DJ and promoter – having worked with everyone from industrial stalwarts Skinny Puppy and Ministry to newer stars Covenant and VNV Nation – Rexx Arkana is also the founder of the scene supergroup Bruderschaft. A collaboration of some of the electronic music world’s top talents, Bruderschaft drew together, under Arkana’s leadership, members of VNV Nation, Covenant, Apoptygma Berzerk and Icon of Coil in a charitable effort to benefit cancer research and treatment.

Dräcos spent the last half of the 90s in Boston where he graduated from Berklee College of Music. While in Boston, Dräcos also recorded and performed live with the industrial group, Disciples of Astaroth. In 1999, Dräcos relocated to NYC where he began building a bigger name for himself as a DJ for the some of the scenes’ most notorious parties which later led to international gigs such as Mexico City and Leipzig, Germany.

As veteran DJs, it’s not surprising their compositions inspire movement, nor that their messages – be them political or cultural – have been enslaved by the beat. ReGen Magazine recently wrote: “FGFC820 is perhaps the best example of pure, beat-driven EBM to be unleashed onto the scene in years. The rhythms pound their way into your psyche with militaristic grandeur, stomping like a Teutonic march the likes of which have been mostly lost in this new age of synthpop wannabes.”


KEVORKIAN DEATH CYCLE

Los Angeles based Kevorkian Death Cycle was founded by Ryan Gribbin and Roger Jarvis in the early 1990’s. The band has circled North America 3 times, touring with bands such as Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Project Pitchfork, Rammstein and many more. In that time they were able to release 3 albums, a single, and a reissue of the ever sought after debut album Collection for Injection. (Metropolis). Fast forward over 12 years later and now signed with Negative Gain Productions, they are back with 3 out of 4 original members. Original guitarist Greg Ripes has re-entered the fold to lend his award winning production talent to the album. God Am I also features new talent with Nabil Kassem (Gentlemen Junkie LA – NGP) and Adam Howe formerly of LA based band Nimbus.

God Am I was released on 9.17.13 and has received rave reviews. The band has released two videos; one for the single Mind Decay and a studio video for Light Fields. KDC is currently in production for their 5th album to be released May 2014.

Ego Likeness was created in 1999 by artist Steven Archer, a DC native, and writer Donna Lynch in Baltimore, Maryland. Taking their name from Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel Dune, the band began as an experimental/ dark trip hop project. A demo called Songs From a Dead City, recorded on a four track, was released that same year. By 2000, the couple was moving the project in a darker electronic/ dance direction, resulting in a self-released full length album entitled Dragonfly.

In 2010, Ego Likeness signed with Metropolis Records to release their fourth album, Breedless. The album showcases their dark electronic trip hop sensibilities overlaid with Donna’s passionately emotive vocals. While many may compare them to Curve and Collide, Ego Likeness continues to take their music to darker corners of the human psyche.

Often accused (though never convicted) of being one of the hardest working bands on the US scene, the duo somehow manage to find time to be prolific in other creative endeavors, with Steven’s additional music projects Hopeful Machines and Stoneburner, as well as being an accomplished painter and children’s book author, and Donna having published several novels including the acclaimed “Isabelle Burning” and “Red Horses”.

Go Fight grew up a solitary young band on the streets of inner city Chicago, cigarette burns on its arms and a deep fear of intimacy. Their mix of hard-edged industrial club sounds coupled with electro-house, dubstep, and powernoise confused and alarmed the other bands on the schoolyard, forcing them into the role of school slut, pleasuring other bands behind the Football equipment shed until one day, after an early morning weekend detention with the punk, the jock, the brain, and the outcast, they learned the true meaning of personal identity- that everyone is a little bit afraid. Their first album “Music for Military Torture” is currently pretending to be a 5 star release on iTunes, but it still cuts itself.

The band was formed in 2006 in Tijuana, Mexico, founded by songwriter/keyboardist Miguel Andrade, the vocalist/lyricist Rob Sandoval, and backing vocalist/songwriter/lyricist/keyboardist Fabrizio Chollet. The band fuses a danceable, dark, melodic style of EBM/Future Pop with lyrics that focus on the trials and tribulations of life and love. The band has gigged extensively, sharing the stage with Nachtmahr, Grendel, Amduscia, Hocico, Icon of Coil, State of the Union, FGFC820, Deus Ex Machina, No longer human, Noisex, Soil and Eclipse, and Noisuf-X, at venues in Tijuana, Mexico City and Los Angeles, USA.

Their music has been played by DJ’s at Das Bunker (Los Angeles) and Sabaat (San Diego), as well as on Tijuana’s alternative radio stations and various industrial internet radio programs. Their song “Dagger Doll”, in its original demo version was included on Das Bunker’s most recent compilation alongside other major acts.

In 2008, Electrovot got in contact with Krischan J.E. Wesenberg of the acclaimed German band, Rotersand, who was impressed with their potential, and decided to produce the band, enlisting the support of his colleague Thomas Lesczenski of :[SITD]:.In 2013, Electrovot commenced working on their second album, which is being produced by Tom Lesczenski of SITD. Electrovot recently signed to COP International, whom release their latest work, Elegant Love, in 2014.


DEAD ON TV

Dead on TV is a Chicago based outfit that has stroked audiences all over the country with their brand of masturbatory electro-punk narcissism which, coupled with the smash and grab disruption af ADHD lead singer Dan Evans, the brutal machine-like ineptness of drummer Vince McAley, the pounding low end of synth player Mike Bradberry and a complete and heinous disregard for the life of guitar player Corey Devlin has resulted in some of the most epically offensive shows ever removed from youtube for violation of community standards.

When broken on the sidewalk, their debut EP, “Fuck You, I’m Famous” seemed to somehow cut deeper than other plastic-coated cd releases. “Fuck You, I’m Famous” garnered college radio play across the country. What the fuck are those people thinking? Dead on TV has shared the stage with some of the biggest name in rock, like Skillet and classic punk bands like The Vibrators and Fang. They have just given birth to their follow up “Creeper.”

STONEBURNER

Stoneburner is the solo project from Steven Archer that combines tribal fusion electronic dance music with experimental sounds. Steven Archer is a multifaceted musician, artist, and writer. He is best known for his work with the electronic rock band Ego Likeness (Metropolis Records) as well has is abstract electronica project ::Hopeful Machines::. His music has been used in several feature sound tracks including the recent award winning documentary Small Small Thing. He has also been commissioned to score a video for NASA on the upcoming OSIRIS-REx mission.

Stoneburner is his vision of the music and philosophy of Frank Herbert’s “Dune” book series. It fuses traditional organic instruments and vocals from all over the world with modern electronic dance music in an attempt to tap into the books technological-tribal aesthetic. His hope is that the project will do justice to the novel’s vision of Arrakis and it’s warrior inhabitants. Live shows are intense and fluid, consisting of multimedia video projections and often incorporate tribal fusion belly dance troupes.


MEND

The partnership between Kassi Cork, and Max Glascott, both veterans of the electronic scene in their own right , Chicago based MEND showcases an impressive stylistic range, from IDM to industrial with nods to dub-step, acid, electro, classical and beyond. The goal of MEND is to create a cohesive mass of music that explores and redenes genre clichés within the bounds of any given track.

Max Glascott is a musician and producer based on Chicago’s south side. MEND began as a departure from his long standing experimental solo projects. He joined forces with old lunch-table pal and long time collaborator, Kassi Cork to help compose music from an entirely dierent angle.

Kassi Cork is a trained pianist, teacher, and composer based in Chicago. She has a history of performance, both in realms classical and electronic. This collaboration has helped combine her love for Classical, IDM and Industrial.


SQUID LID

Squid Lid is an alt-electronic spectacle for the everyday explorer. This deep sea experience takes audiences (lovingly called Tentacles) on an eerie journey thru the strange and unusual world that is Squid Lid. Emerging from Canada’s largest club scene in Toronto, Squid Lid incorporates elements of Industrial, Electro-House, Dubstep, Grunge Grit, & Cinematic Soundtracks.

Squid Lid began in 2009 as an underground rave act featuring DJ Jonah K and composer James Zirco Fisher. Deep bass beats with whimsical circus melodies was their sound while they performed in signature backlight creature costumes. The departure of Jonah K in 2012 marked the arrival of vocalist Chloe Dellark and an evolution of the project.

With two official albums under their lids, Steam Powered Submarine & Crypto Zoo, Squid Lid is set to release their third official album, Tackle Box, May 30 2015.

Peter Turns Pirate (PTP), a solo artist based out of Toronto Canada, has been evolving his craft since 2004. His shows guide the viewer into a world of imagination and intrigue. Known for his theatrical and dramatic live setting, Peter Turns Pirate transforms the stage into his own playground. PTP has toured Ontario, Canada for the past four years
and continues to entice audiences abroad. Some of his influences include such acts as Nine Inch Nails, Mindless Self Indulgence, Marilyn Manson and Michael Jackson.

His music is a mesh of metal, electronics, pop, ambient and experimental influences. His shows include eclectic wardrobe
selections along with special effects that illuminate each of his performances.

Peter Turns Pirate is a true spectacle that cannot be missed.

Glenn Love is an industrial / dark musician living in Toronto Canada. Glenn’s ep (R)Age Electric was released on Sonic -X Records in February 2015 making it his fifth album on this label. A series of videos were produced to support the ep.

Just back from playing at the 2015 Wave Gotik Treffen Festival in Leipzig, Glenn has performed regularly across Canada and Europe playing at many major gothic industrial festivals.
